Academic Tutor

ClubZ! Tutoring has tutored over 2500 students in the Omaha Metro Area since 2004. The need is strong. We have students who are ready to work with an effective and devoted tutor. Use your skills as an educator to get students back on track and love learning for possibly the first time in their lives. Join our experienced (and highly motivated!) team of tutors who get to be involved first hand in increasing a student’s confidence and success in school. We hire only the best tutors we can find because that is what our students need and deserve.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors Degree and/or Teaching Certificate from an accredited college or university
  • Limited number of Internships available to those that have not yet finished their bachelors degree.
  • Teaching certificate is required for those wanting to tutor students K-6 (sorry, no exceptions to this requirement)
  • Formal (i.e. paid) teaching or tutoring experience with verifiable references
  • Curriculum expertise (you may be required to take a subject test in areas you would like to tutor)
  • Ability to engage a variety of students with varying learning styles and abilities
  • Demonstrated reliability in previous jobs
  • Ability to pass required background checks
  • Individualized instruction
  • Excellent teaching skills and a love of learning
  • Availablility to work between 3:30 and 8:30 during the school week and possibly one day on the weekend (2-3 hours)

**The majority of our tutoring sessions are conducted between 3-8 p.m. Monday thru Thursday. Tutoring exclusively on the weekends is not a standard practice. If tutoring occurs on the weekend it would be either a Saturday or Sunday not both. Our minimum session requirement is 2 (1 hour) sessions per week.
